Clay Evans is a 10-year Nashville veteran and is one of Music City’s finest and most dedicated singer/songwriters. His music career began in Athens, GA where he started his first band Bluestring, a funky improvisational band that toured the states throughout the early 2000’s. The group was signed to a record deal by the late drum legend Butch Trucks and shared stages with the Allman Brothers Band, Michael Franti, and Derek Trucks.

In 2007, Clay moved to Nashville where he met bass player and producer extraordinaire Viktor Krauss and the two embarked on Clay’s first solo record I Could Be You (released in 2012). Nashville has offered Clay the opportunity to collaborate with many hit songwriters such as Jude Johnstone, a Bonnie Raitt tour-mate who penned the Trisha Yearwood #1 The Woman Before Me.

Clay’s raw melodic soul and quirky lyrical taste often draw comparisons to Jim Croce, Paul Simon, and Dave Matthews. His authenticity and showmanship can be seen at his frequent performances at the famous Bluebird Cafe in Music City, USA. Clay is set to record a new album in 2018 with renowned producer Niko Bolas, who has made hundreds of records including Neil Young’s Rockin’ in the Free World.

Clay’s greatest passion is connection with people of all ages and creates an intimate experience even in the largest crowds.
